Church School
As a church school, we place a strong emphasis on Christian values and feel that one of our strengths is how our distinctively Christian values are explicit and are deeply embedded in the daily life of the school. All members of the school community can articulate the distinctively Christian characteristics of the school’s values and talk about significant impact they have on the daily lives and achievements of learners.
Worship is held daily in school, where we join together as a whole school, class groups or in house teams to learn and reflect. Love is a very strong theme within our school. We have the following core values: friendship, trust, forgiveness, perseverance, respect and courage
We have strong links with our local village church St Matthews. Each week collective worship is led by either our local vicar Rev Ruth or the community Open the book group which leads an interactive re-enacting bible stories, following this, the children are encouraged to share as part of the Sunday Family service.
We celebrate the main Christian Festivals of Harvest, Easter and Christmas in church.
