A BRIGHT START FOR A BRIGHT FUTURE
Rowde Academy is a brilliant place to work. It is a place where children thrive and where learning is fun yet structured.
I joined Rowde Academy three years ago. As soon as I walked through the door, like so many who visit the school, I was struck by the warm and loving atmosphere of the school, I felt that Rowde was such a special place. I knew that if ever a job came up, I’d love to work here. I am not the only staff member who has joined Rowde in this way.
As a Christian school, we are like a big family, we are on a journey together. We have our ups and downs, but everyone supports each other and we all have the absolute desire to give the children at Rowde the very best education we can.
At Rowde Academy we are committed to caring for every individual allowing every child to develop in the broadest sense, building an understanding of their creative capabilities, their emotional strengths and frailties, how to work alongside each other as they move to become the learners of the future.
I am in the privileged position to lead all those at Rowde Academy working within a close and supportive community; teachers, parents, governors and children. We are all on the exciting journey to create bright and vibrant learners with bright futures.
My vision, for the school is clear and we all use the word “Bright” to summarise it. We want a ‘Bright start for a bright future’. I want each child to leave Rowde having done the best they can. I want the teachers to plan lessons where ‘bright ideas’ make the learning come alive. I want the children to have ‘bright eyes’ and be excited learners, eager to find out more. I want their futures to be bright wherever that will take them, and in the knowledge that we at Rowde were part of that journey.
